Sabir Khan is a renowned artiste from Kolkata with a multi-dimensional personality and multi-functional talent. Born in Kolkata on 1st Jan’1975
Sabir Khan never knew that he will become a renowned and a big name in the entertainment and the corporate world. After completing his studies he started his career as a sales person of medicines and got a pretty fair experience in this profession, though everything was running smoothly but he was never satisfied with his profession rather he was more interested to attend the stage shows hosted from time to time in different locations and
auditoriums. He used to see an anchor who comes in the starting of the programme and conducts the whole programme by announcing the artistes and doing mimicry sometimes and performing other items and rendering jokes to entertain the audience, Sabir used to think this profile of ‘anchor’ to be the most powerful person who undertakes to carry the whole show on his shoulder and being a ‘Challenger’ he challenged himself to become an anchor. He started to go for practices and faced a lot of hindrances and obstacles because the relevant peoples were never ready to take him seriously.
It was the year 1989, the boy of only 14 years was holding the microphone as an announcer, the first show was not very successful but the un success of the show made him more committed and more dedicated, he started to follow the style of the maestros of the stage of that era. Many occasion came to distract his confidence but he had a firm belief upon himself; he knew that the ground is hard and it will take time to dig it because some more seniors of this field were already doing very well and powerful, BUT it was Sabir Khan’s confidence and trust upon his talent that he never gave up.
Gradually he started to taste recognition and appraisal from the audience, the artistes, the organizers and the sponsors.
At a very early age of his career he started to perform as an anchor with the very famous and renowned artistes and playback singers of Bollywood film industry and surprisingly he always used to bag high attention and appraisal after each and every show.
Stars and playback singers started recommending his name to be signed as an anchor for their shows.
It was the time when Sabir Khan was no more an unknown artiste, from Kolkata to Mumbai, he became a renowned name by doing shows with Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Anuradha Paudwal, Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet,
Sadhna Sargam,Usha Uthup, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Sudesh Bhonsle, Vinod Rathode, Shreya Ghoshal, Shabbir Kumar and Mohd.Aziz and the great Asha Bhonsle.Completing his versatility, he hosted Ghulam Ali, Anup Jalota, Roop Kumar Rathode of the ghazal genre.
He has a credit to host Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Govinda, Karishma Kapoor, Manisha Koirala and many more.
Now anchoring was a small world for Sabir Khan and he decided to explore new heights for his career and moved to television simultaneously, He participated in Great Indian Laughter Challenge III on Star-One and Just Laugh Baqi Maaf for India TV.
His popularity led him to some more opportunities where he was highly engaged in anchoring several programmes of different channels.
Having a very high basses and powerful voice with lot of emotions and colours he was handed over the responsibilities to conduct a programme
‘Guzra Hua Zamana’ for RPG which is counted amongst the most dignified and sophisticated programmes ever relayed on air. He anchored numbers of programmes for Taaza TV, NE Tv, Kolkata Tv and Mon Tv.
Awards and rewards has been a part of his life but being a Challenger he again wanted to do something challenging to him and he entered singing.
Music is a very vast subject and very hard for one to establish amongst the glittering like gold artistes, once again Sabir Khan came forward to pick the microphone but not as an anchor or dubbing artiste BUT as a singer……… and amazingly he started singing well in his own voice, he preferred to be a entertaining performer rather to be a singer and here comes the
high pitch of his career when he was recognized and applauded with praise as a ‘COMPLETE PACKAGE OF ENTERTAINMENT’.
